YC art instructors are credentialed professionals and masters in their fields. We offer classes in Watercolor and Acrylic Painting, Printmaking, Woodworking, Wood Turning, Sculpture, Ceramics, Jewelry, lapidary and Digital Arts.
The Associates of Arts in Fine Arts (AAFA) in Visual Arts Degree, requires completion of 61 credit hours. The degree enables a student to transfer to a baccalaureate-granting institution. Students following this degree program will complete university parallel requirements in general education that will fulfill all lower division general educations requirements at the Arizona State Universities. The AAFA in Visual Arts will prepare students to identify, analyze and utilize the formal elements and principles of design in 2D, 3D, and new media art.
The Graphic Design Degree program prepares students for employment in entry level positions in the commercial art and advertising fields. The degree program prepares students with design principles and desktop publishing skills required for employment in today's job market.
Community members join classes working beside degree students to learn and hone their skills and nurture their creative vision.
