Demo: jewelry techniques used in creation

My unique jewelry designs are created using various metals, stone, and found materials. I specialize in one-of-a-kind pieces using beads, faceted stones and hand created intarsia, inlay and lapidary techniques. Having studied with world renowned jewelers I use many unique fabrication methods
​What Inspires Me: Ethnic designs, Asian and primitive cultures, nature: the seashore, forests and the animals that inhabit these eco systems. Elements and principals of design: color, geometry, contrasting textures; light and dark, negative/positive space; asymmetrical and symmetrical designs; organic shapes
What Influences My Art: Ancient cultures, their beads, techniques and materials. Historical paintings and museum visits. Architecture and out door landscapes, geometric shapes. Shadows and perforations of metal, rusty things, unique shapes
How I Recycle/Upcycle: Seed pods, woods, shells and rocks are gathered during walks along the seashore, in the forests or during travel adventures. These objects are used to help design components into waxes to be cast or cut out of metal to be soldered into forms
