Demo: palimpsest watercolor on old maps

​​When I tell people I'm an engineer, they usually reply, "That explains a lot." My paintings start with old documents and a pile of drafting tools. I love the way the fluid lines on an old map play with the hard-edged geometric landscapes I build on them.

What Influences My Art: historical documents, the plants and animals native to an area, nature's palette
