2026 Pre-Tour Exhibit - Beyond the Studio, The Tour Artist Preview
Where: ‘Tis Art Center Main Gallery, 105 S Cortez, Prescott
Exhibit Dates: Thursday August 27 - September 22, 2026
Opening Reception: August 28th 5:00 to 8:00 pm

Submission Deadline: Monday, July 20 by 4:00 pm
 
Artwork Criteria and Guidelines
Submissions are limited to 2 works per artist
  • For the exhibit, 2-D work is not to exceed 24” on the longest side.
  • 2-D work must be ready to hang with picture wire (picture hangers such as alligator hangers, command strips, etc., will not work with the Gallery Hanging System.)
 
Per ‘Tis guidelines the ‘Tis curators ask that you not submit work:
  • in overly ornate frames
  • on unfinished canvases
  • with proselytizing religious, erotica or nudes as subject matter
 
The ‘Tis curators reserve the right to decline submissions at their discretion
Submission Process
Complete the online submission form. Only online submissions will be accepted.
  • Provide a brief artist bio.
  • Check the medium(s) you work in.
  • Provide the following information for each piece submitted (you may submit 2):
  • Title and price - Titles and prices cannot be changed from what is submitted in the form so think this through thoroughly prior to submitting.
  • ONE image for each piece. To save time, we encourage you to have images ready for uploading prior to beginning the online application process.
  • Images must be high resolution (at least 300 dpi).
  • Images must be a minimum of 6 inches (1800 pixels at 300 dpi) on the longest side.
  • File names must be in this format: LastName FirstName Title or Description, e.g., Doe Jane Sky at Midnight or Smith John Pearl Necklace.
  • Only JPG and JPEG formats will be accepted.
 
Print the ‘Tis Agreement and Inventory Sheet now. You will need to bring these completed forms with you when dropping off your artwork at the gallery (see Intake of Work below).
Terms
A ‘Tis Agreement and Inventory sheet must be completed and delivered to the gallery with your artwork to participate.
  • Sales will be processed through ‘Tis.
  • 10% of the selling price will be retained by ‘Tis.
  • The remaining 90% will be paid by check and delivered to you via mail within 10 days following the last day of the month in which the artwork is sold.
 
Intake of Work
Where: ‘Tis Art Center & Gallery – 105 S Cortez St, Prescott
When: Monday July 27 through Monday August 10 (Please note the gallery is closed on Wednesdays)
Time: between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm
Bring:
  • the actual piece(s)
  • completed agreement
  • completed inventory sheet
 
Opening Reception
When: Friday, August 28th
Time: 5 to 8 pm (during the 4th Friday Art Walk)
Where: ‘Tis Art Center & Gallery, 105 S Cortez, Prescott
  • All Artists submitting work are encouraged to attend. Take this opportunity to talk with visitors about your work, how you create it, what inspires you and invite them to visit your studio during the Tour.
  • We suggest that you arrive by 4:30 pm. The public will start arriving at or before 5:00 pm so look to see where your piece is displayed.
 
Don’t be a stranger during the month-long duration of the exhibition.
  • Invite your collectors, clients, family, friends and anyone interested in art to experience the exhibit.
  • Make periodic visits throughout the month and interact with the public
  • If a piece sells, replace it with another.
  • This exhibit gives you the opportunity to have your work in a prestigious gallery, build your personal contact list, promote and sell your work and encourage the public to visit your studio and others during the Tour.
