I've been an artist all of my life. It's hard to do just one thing and mixed media seems to cover it all. My ceramic and other artwork often includes metal, beads, horsehair, dyed reed, glass and paint. Even my resin jewelry includes unusual items like window screen, metal and paper pieces.
​What Inspires Me: tribal designs, mixing up materials, embossed and textured metal
What Influences My Art: texture in nature, animals, indigenous art
How I Recycle/Upcycle: Old car mat backs make wonderful texture in clay. Plumbing fixtures, springs, tubes and screws all are used in mark making. Bits of metal, screen, paper pieces that would usually be thrown away.
